There’s something special about coming back to where it all started.

This past weekend, Sigma Phi Epsilon alumni made the trip back to UND to connect with the current undergraduate brothers and spend some time together enjoying everything that makes the SigEp experience memorable: brotherhood.

The weekend was a great opportunity for alumni and undergraduate brothers to catch up, share stories, and create new memories together. While college may look a little different from one generation of brothers to the next, one thing remains the same—the bonds built through SigEp last well beyond graduation.

Tailgating

The weekend kicked off with a tailgate, bringing everyone together for some dye and burgers. Alumni had the chance to reconnect with old friends while meeting and getting to know the current undergraduate members.

Between conversations about college memories and stories from years past, the tailgate was a reminder that brotherhood doesn’t end when you leave campus. Coming back to UND gave the alumni a chance to see how the chapter has continued to grow while sharing in the excitement of being back around the fraternity.

Softball

Of course, no alumni weekend would be complete without some competition.

The brothers took to the softball field for an afternoon. Alumni and undergraduates went head-to-head, and got to interact more.

Softball provided the perfect setting to relax, reconnect, and enjoy some time outside.

Bowling and Brotherhood

The weekend wrapped up with another classic activity: bowling.

The lanes quickly became a mix of competition and conversation as alumni and undergraduate brothers continued spending time together. Some strikes and spares were celebrated enthusiastically, while other shots were quickly forgotten—but all of it contributed to another memorable night together.

More than anything, the evening highlighted what alumni weekends are really about: spending time together and strengthening relationships across generations of brothers.

More Than a Weekend

An alumni weekend is more than just a few days of activities. It’s a chance to reconnect with the people and place that helped shape an important part of life.

For the alumni who returned, the weekend was an opportunity to see old friends, meet the next generation of SigEps, and reminisce about their own time as undergraduate brothers. For the current members, it was a chance to hear stories, build relationships with alumni, and see firsthand that the history created through Sigma Phi Epsilon can last for years after graduation.

From tailgating to softball to bowling, the weekend was filled with the kind of moments that make fraternity life meaningful. Most importantly, it brought brothers together.

The chapter looks forward to continuing to build on these connections and welcoming even more alumni back to UND in the future.
